Pure tradition! The international Music Festival offers a selected program of different genres. Artists from all over the world are performing on different stages in Heidelberg.

Heidelberg Historic – 9.07.2020 – 11.07.2020
The cultivation of traditions at the highest stage! The region loves vintage cars and their drivers love the rally. The rally Heidelberg Historic occurs once every year in July and showcases exclusive old timers from pre-war time as well as the post-war period.

Schlossbeleuchtung – 06.06.2020/ 11.07.2020/ 05.09.2020
This is a truly unique event and one not to be missed.
For three nights only, Heidelberg Castle stands out against the night sky, bathed in a red light symbolising the three times that it was set on fire during the 17th Century. As soon as the red light fades away, the second part of the show begins – spectacular fireworks blasting from the Old Bridge. Our insider tip – the best views are to be had from the banks of the Neckar opposite the castle.

Lebendiger Neckar – 21.06.2020
Listen up, feast your eyes and dive in!
The day’s festivities take place along the banks of the Neckar from the Ernst Walz Bridge to the Old Bridge. Enjoy a canoe ride along the river, try your hand at street art in a graffiti workshop or soak up the live music from one of the stages. There really is something for everybody today.

Heidelberger Schlossfestspiele – 14.06.2020 - 02.08.2020
During the summer season of 2017 this festival offers a diverse program of theatre and concert acts. Visit the most beautiful stages of Heidelberg, since the world-famous castle ruins make up the unique scenery for the Heidelberger Schlossfestspiele!

Heidelberger Herbst – 26.09.- 27.09.2020
A sea of colours will take over the Old Town as quaint characters drift through the streets.
All along the Main Street, you can peruse one stand after another. The squares of the Old Town such as Universitätsplatz and Kornmarkt provide musical entertainment from specially constructed stages. Relax and enjoy the music, accompanied by a glass of wine or a tarte flambee. Our top tip? Wander down the laneways to either side of the Main Street, where you are sure to find great offers on all their wares.

Enjoy Jazz – 02.10.2020 - 16.11.2020
Terrific jazz music... and so much more besides!
During this festival, you can look forward to seeing some of the biggest stars from the world of jazz, as well as up and coming young talents from all over the globe. The repertoire includes new trends as well as the classics. This is the place to discover new musical trends, and there is also a wide array of side events to enjoy.

Weihnachtsmarkt Heidelberg – 25.11.2020 - 22.12.2020
The scent of mulled wine wafts through the air...
The Christmas market starts at Bismarckplatz and stretches along the Main Street via the Anatomy Garden (home of the statue of Robert Bunsen), Universitätsplatz, Marktplatz, Kornmarkt and Karlsplatz.

Heidelberger Eisbahn – 25.11.2020 - 06.01.2021
Kornmarkt is the place to go for fun for the whole family! While the children perfect their ice-skating skills on the rink, their parents can relax at the sideline with a glass of mulled wine and a sausage roll filled with a traditional Bratwurst.
